Why My Benches?

Benches beckon rests -- set-a-sides, besides walking paths. In the case of this blog, bench post entries are my seated cites where I'll share what I'm reading or what has taken me down a path other than my walks among the watches.

Quoting Jenny Holzer,  Neo-conceptualist artist and bench literata "Turn Soft and Lovely Any Time You Have a Chance."

Insightful books, perceptive writings, visual and musical expressions can do this for all of us as we reflect upon them sitting on our favorite benches.

Rather than number my benches, I am naming them after the writers or artists  whose work they reference. Since reflections can be timeless, there is no need for dating them.
